Our Story

Cordial Knots is a paracord business that was started on Etsy back in 2020 by a husband and wife team, Ben & Elly. They are passionate about creating beautiful and functional paracord products, and they love sharing their love of paracord with others.

They started Cordial Knots because they wanted to find a way to use their creativity and their love of crafting to make something that was both useful and looked great. They were drawn to paracord because of its versatility and its durability. They love the fact that paracord can be used to create so many different things, from simple bracelets to complex survival gear.

Cordial Knots has grown rapidly over the past few years. Ben & Elly now have a team of talented artisans who help them create their products. They have also expanded their product line to include a wide variety of paracord items, from bracelets and keychains to camera straps and pet accessories.

They have also expanded their horizons and now work with a number of other business, large and small, to provide them with paracord accessories. 

 

So, what is Paracord? 

Paracord, also known as parachute cord, is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of parachutes. This cord is now used as a general purpose utility cord. Paracord is made of a nylon outer sheath and a core of seven nylon strands. The outer sheath is braided to provide strength and protection, while the inner strands provide tensile strength.

The majority of our products are created using 550 Paracord, which means, each strand is rated to hold 550lbs (~250kg).
